What is TVP Support?

TVP Support (TVPS) is a global organization of Points of Contact (POCs) and their teams around the world, whose aim is to raise local and global awareness of The Venus Project (TVP) and the Resource-Based Economy (RBE).

VISION:
A global network of POCs and support teams that spread information relevant to TVP and RBE.

MISSION:
Educating POCs and providing them the tools and skills necessary to promote TVP and RBE.

VALUES:
 - Positive Environment (create a positive environment of respect and collaboration)
 - Quality (maintain a high standard of quality of the projects and the integrity of the information)
 - Reliability (be responsible, honest, contactable, punctual)
 - Education (continuously improve your knowledge)

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
Educate POCs
 - Schedule educational sessions
 - Test the knowledge of POCs
Improve the skills of POCs
 - Schedule educational sessions
 - Practical exercises
Promote TVP and RBE
 - Create events
 - Share information

ROLE DEFINITIONS:
Supporter:
a person who agrees with what The Venus Project proposes, will post information in online platforms and talk to people about this direction, but is not actively involved in any of the TVP Global Departments or TVPS.
Volunteer:
a person who, as well as sharing information online, is also a member of TVPS (Admin, Host, POC, Candidate, Team member) or a member of one or more of TVP Global Departments. Volunteers are not legal representatives of TVP.

Admin:
a volunteer who is involved in the administration of TVPS.
Host:
a volunteer who moderates the discussions in the meetings.
POC:
a volunteer who is designated as the point-of-contact for a certain state or country.
Candidate:
a supporter who participates in the Orientation Process to become a POC.
Team member:
a volunteer who is actively involved in a team organized by a POC.

ROLE FUNCTIONS:
Admins
Requirements:
 - Finished Orientation Process.
 - Finished Study Group (not yet applied).
 - Basic training (knowledge, skills, tools needed).
 - Organizational skills (evaluated by the Admins).
Responsibilities:
 - Manage the email address admin@tvpsupport.com.
 - Manage the Forum.
 - Manage TeamSpeak.
 - Manage FB pages and groups.
 - Manage the hosts for the education process.
 - Manage the material for the education, with confirmation from Roxanne.
 - Accept new volunteers as Candidates.
 - Accept Candidates as POCs, after they completed the Orientation Process.
 - Keep in touch with each other on Skype or Facebook.
 - Attend the admin meetings.
 - Appoint new Admins when needed.

Hosts
Requirements:
 - Finished Orientation Process.
 - Finished Study Group (not yet applied).
 - Willingness to host hangouts.
 - A solid understanding of the lectures (evaluated by the Admins).
 - Good communication skills (evaluated by the Admins).
Responsibilities:
 - Host the hangouts at the designated times.
 - Follow the Guidelines for Hosts.
 - Keep in touch with the admins on Skype or Facebook.
 - Continuously try to improve the education process by getting feedback from the candidates and the POCs.
 - Help candidates become POCs through study groups and one-on-one conversations.
 - Encourage team work.

POCs
Requirements:
 - Finished Orientation Process.
 - A solid understanding of the lectures (evaluated by the Admins).
 - Good communication skills (evaluated by the Admins).
 - Organizational skills (evaluated by the Admins).
Responsibilities:
 - Build and organize a team of volunteers.
 - Encourage activities like events, screenings and study groups.
 - Access the appropriate email account at least once every 3 days and reply to any received emails.
 - Keep in touch with the admins and other POCs on Skype or Facebook.
 - Manage and post relevant material on the Facebook page or group for that country.
 - Attend the Study Group hangouts at least once a month.
 - Attend the monthly meetings on TeamSpeak.

Candidates
Requirements:
 - English level B2 (free online test).
 - Access to a computer (not only phone or tablet).
 - Good internet connection (at least 4.0 mbps).
 - Microphone.
 - Webcam (optional but highly recommended).
Responsibilities:
 - Become a POC.

 - Finished course equivalent or higher to the Orientation Process (Mentor Program, Local Study Groups, etc).
 - A solid understanding of the lectures (evaluated by the Admins).
 - Finished practice hosting the Basic Orientation.
- Finished Study Group (not yet applied).
 - Good communication skills (evaluated by the Admins).
 - Willingness and time to host hangouts.
